PAQs – Parent Asked Questions

Campers and parents naturally have many questions about what happens at camp. Let us help you by providing answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about IGC.

You may sign up for camp any time prior to the session you wish to attend, as long as there is availability. Many of our weeks fill up by the end of March, so early enrollment is always advised. We also offer special early registration rates. Click here to see the available sessions and rates.
All registrations are completed online through our secure website to ensure the accuracy, privacy, and security of the application. You can click on any Enroll button at the top of our website. Click here for more information on enrollment.
As an IGC family member, you have a “MY IGC” account already set up in our system. You can login to your account by clicking the “MY IGC” button at the top of our website. Once logged in, select the “Camper Application” link and begin a new application for the upcoming summer season.
Forgot your Password? If you do not remember your password, click the “Retrieve Password” link to reset your password. For security reasons, entering an incorrect password may lock your account. If this occurs, please call our office at (570) 629-0244 so we can verify your identity and manually unlock your account.
If you apply for a full week we will notify you by email. You can then work with our office staff to choose another week, and/or to be placed on a waitlist for the full week.

If a cancellation is received we call campers in order of our waitlist. No charges will be made until you are officially enrolled in a session with availability.

You can click here to view the registration fees and early registration discounts for Summer 2017. We also offer special rates and programs for coaches who wish to attend camp with their gymnasts. Please call our office at (570) 629-0244 for more information on team discounts.
Canteen money can be added to your camper’s account online via your “MY IGC” account.
Check-In is on Sunday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM. Please do not arrive earlier than 12:00 PM, as we will be unable to accommodate you. We recommend a 12:30 PM arrival, as it ensures your camper will be settled into their cabin before their 2:00 PM cabin meeting and screening for classes.

If you are going to be late, please notify our office at (570) 629-0244 or email office@internationalgymnastics.com.

To qualify for Express Check-In, ALL balances must be paid in full, ALL Forms and Documents must be on file with the office, and spending money must already be in the camper’s canteen account. If you have done this, you will be given your camper’s cabin number at Check-In and you can go right to the cabin.
When you arrive, our Check-In staff will direct you to the Main Office which is located in the Museum. After completing all necessary forms, you will receive your camper’s cabin number and be directed towards the cabin. There, you and your camper will meet the cabin counselors and new cabin-mates, as well as enjoy some time settling in.
Check-Out takes place on Saturday between 8:30 AM and 9:30 AM. Please do not arrive earlier than 8:30 AM as all campers will still be eating breakfast and you will be unable to enter onto the camp grounds. If you are going to be late please notify our office by phone (570) 629-0244 and please be aware that you may incur additional charges (as per the additional day charge).
For safety reasons, International Gymnastics Camp has specific guidelines for camper’s arrival and departure from camp. Unaccompanied minors traveling by air, campers needing airport pick up, and camper arrival and departure times all require special considerations. Please refer to the Parent Camper Guide and coordinate with our office to finalize all transportation requirements.
To check-out your child, you will need to:

1. Show valid photo ID to sign your camper out from their cabin and receive your exit pass.
2. Stop by the Health Center to pick up your camper’s medication.
3. Visit the canteen to purchase camp photos and merchandise, get information for next summer, and ask for celebrity autographs.
4. When you are ready to leave campus, bring your exit pass to the gate.

We want to make sure each camper benefits from the best possible gymnastics training while they are here. To do that we screen all campers on Sunday when they arrive. Screening is a chance for our coaches and gymnasts to work together before they are placed in their groups for that week of training.
Of course!! Many of our campers come to IGC by themselves, and half the fun of IGC is making new friends. IGC’s caring counselors will assist all campers in meeting new friends and getting comfortable in the camp setting.
Our entire staff is here to help every camper with the schedule! Counselors help campers get to the gyms, coaches help campers from rotation to rotation, recreation staff and counselors help campers play all over our campus, and our kitchen staff is there to help campers enjoy their meals. We also use a speaker system to announce recreational events and meal times.
Campers are housed by age to ensure the best social and emotional environment. Their cabin will be made up of campers from all over the United States and from around the world! Your camper may request one cabin mate with your application too.
Absolutely! At International Gymnastics Camp our staff are not only here to teach gymnastics, they are also committed to making sure each camper has a phenomenal summer camp experience. We have so many exceptional recreational activities to participate in when not in the gyms! IGC’s well-rounded program is filled with extraordinary summertime fun!
Our canteen operates as a traditional camp store. Campers can purchase merchandise and treats using money in their canteen accounts. Parents can see all purchases by checking via the “MY IGC” login.
