When can I sign up for camp?
You may sign up for camp at any time prior to the session you wish to attend. Many of our weeks fill by the end of March, so early enrollment is always advised. If you would like to be added to our mailing list so you will automatically receive our new brochure, call our office at (570) 629-0244.
What time should we arrive to check-in for camp?
Check-in is on Sunday from 12:30 PM to 2:00 PM.
The arrival gate will be opened for Sunday check-in at 12:15 PM. Do not arrive earlier than 12:15 PM as we will be unable to accommodate you.
A timely arrival ensures your camper will be settled into their cabin before their 2:30 PM cabin meeting and screening for classes. If you are going to be late, please notify us.
Express Check-In
In order to qualify for Express Check-In, your child's spending money as well as the original, fully completed health form must be on file with the camp office prior to your arrival.

Please see the application form for current camp rates. We offer discounted rates for multiple weeks, siblings and groups/teams attending. We also offer special rates and programs for coaches who wish to attend camp with their gymnasts.

If my child stays for more than one week is there a charge for the weekend stayover?
No, the weekend is included in the price.
Can I visit the camp during the week?
For the safety of all campers and to provide all campers with the "total camp experience", no visitation is allowed during the camp week.
If your child is staying more than one session and you wish to take them off the camp grounds on the weekend you may do so on Saturday from 1:00 PM - 7:00 PM or on Sunday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM.
In the interest of all campers, it is not possible to remain on the camp grounds.
All visitors must report to the office upon arrival at camp with photo identification.
Can my child bring a cell phone and or camera to camp?
Cellular phones, cameras, and similar devices are not permitted at camp. Phone calls take your child away from their camp activities and calling home sometimes causes homesickness. Campers cannot make outgoing phone calls.
If your child has traveled to IGC via plane or bus their cell phone will be held by the office for safe keeping and returned to them at departure.
Due to the ease of internet postings, cameras are not allowed at camp for the security of all campers.
I'm worried about my child losing their belongings while at camp, what should I do?
We recommend that campers do not bring expensive items to camp (i.e. digital cameras, ipods, team uniforms, etc). For all other items we suggest that you label them with the first and last name of your camper (initials make it really hard to work out the owners).

What activities are provided during a weekend stayover?
There is an organized recreational program for campers staying over the weekend.
How do I pay for camp?
We are able to accept credit cards only for online registration deposits. The balance of your camp fees can be paid by check, money order or cash (please do not mail cash) for payment.
The week(s) I want to attend is closed. Can I be added to a wait list?
Yes, we do offer wait lists. To be placed on a wait list, simply call our camp office at (570) 629-0244. We are unable to process wait list requests over the internet.
I will be sending my child to camp by plane/bus. How do I make those arrangements?
Campers can arrive at Lehigh Valley International Airport (formerly ABE). Greyhound and Martz Trailways buses stop at the Stroudsburg / Delaware Water Gap terminal. The closest private airport is Mount Pocono.
If you notify us in writing at least 2 weeks prior to your arrival of your child's travel plans, we will make arrangements to meet campers and transport them to the camp. A printed itinerary with the locater number for each child being picked up is required.
There is a round trip fee of $40.00 for transportation to and from the Lehigh Valley International Airport, a round trip fee of $30.00 for transportation to and from the bus station, and a round trip fee of $30.00 to and from the private airport. Due to the distance and security procedures at Lehigh Valley International Airport, do not schedule your child on a flight departing before 10:00 a.m.
Can I see the camp before the summer?
We will offer tours of the camp on April 19 & 20, 2008. The camp tour provides a great chance to learn more about IGC's programs and to witness our incredible facilities! We highly recommend them. Please call our office at (570) 629-0244 to schedule a tour. Please note, however, we do not recommend waiting until the tours to register for camp as sessions may already be filled.
What should my child pack for camp?
With your confirmation packet you will receive a sheet detailing our recommendations for items campers should bring to camp. Please remember that all items that your child brings to camp should be labeled with their name. (Make sure you include both their first and last names.) This is a list of the required items : Bottom sheet, sleeping bag, pillow and pillow slip, towels, sneakers, jacket or sweatshirt, rainwear, sleepwear, socks, appropriate bathing suit, personal items, workout attire. Due to the number of classes throughout the week, handgrips are strongly recommended (may be purchased at camp).
Does my child have to be competing at a certain skill level to attend camp?
No! At least 50% of our campers are beginners. Your child does not need to be a competitive gymnast. They just need a love of the sport and a desire to learn and have fun. Our campers are separated into groups by skill level so beginner through elite gymnasts receive the best coaching.
My child would like to be in a cabin with a friend. Is this possible?
On the application there is a space for roommate requests. We honor roommate requests as long as they have no more than one year age difference.
Will my child be in a cabin with children the same age?
Yes, our campers are housed according to age. Remember, for roommate requests campers must have an age difference of no more than one year.
My child is on medication. How does the camp handle this?
During check-in our medical staff will meet with you and discuss your child's medication(s). ALL medications are kept in the nurse's office and dispensed according to your physician's instructions. Please remember, children should not have ANY medications in their cabin. This includes things such as Tylenol, Advil, vitamins, eyedrops, etc.
My child is a vegetarian. Is there food provided for them?
Each of our meals includes a selection of food suitable for vegetarians. At each lunch and dinner meal we also provide a full salad and wrap bar.
My child has medical dietary restrictions. How is this handled?
If, due to medical reasons, your child requires special foods, you should purchase the required items and bring them to camp with you. During check-in a kitchen staff member will be available to discuss your child's requirements and receive any instructions you may have concerning your child's diet. You should also discuss any special dietary requirements with the camp nurse. Please remember to label all the food items you bring to camp with you, as we often have other children with specific food, too. All foods will be stored in the kitchen or health center - NO food can be kept in the cabins.
