First time campers naturally have many questions about what happens at camp. Let us help you by providing answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about our summer gymnastics camp program.

What should I expect when I check in?

When you arrive, you will be directed to registration where you will receive your counselors' names and your cabin number. Next you will head to your cabin where you will meet your counselors and new cabin friends, and enjoy some time together to get settled. All around the camp, you will see other families and campers doing exactly the same thing as you—getting acquainted with camp and the exciting activities to come.

What is screening?

Screening is a process during which we evaluate each camper in the gym in order to place the camper in a group for the week according to the camper’s skill level. Screening occurs on Sunday afternoon, and is done to ensure that each camper enjoys the optimal instructional experience. You will need to be ready to work out during screening, so make sure you are dressed for the gym and have your grips with you.

I'm coming to camp alone. Will I make friends?

Of course!! Many of our campers come to IGC by themselves, so there are always lots of other campers wanting to make new friends. The campers who come with friends are looking to make new friends too! IGC’s caring counselors will assist all campers in meeting new friends and getting comfortable in the camp setting.

How do I know when and where to go?

The schedule at IGC is very simple, plus we use a speaker system to announce your classes, recreation events and meal times. Also, there are always plenty of staff around to help you with your schedule and make sure you are in the right place at the right time.

Who will be in my cabin?

The other campers in your cabin will all be within one year of your own age. Your cabin will be made up of campers from all over the USA and from around the world!

Will I have fun?

Absolutely! At International Gymnastics Camp our staff are not only here to teach you gymnastics, they are also committed to making sure you have a phenomenal summer camp experience. We have so many exceptional recreation activities for you to participate in when you are not in the gyms! IGC’s well-rounded program is filled with extraordinary summertime fun!

How does the canteen work? What do I do with my canteen money?

Canteen money can be added to your camper's account online via credit card or by mailing a check. There are three windows in the Canteen for purchasing items. Place your order for the items you wish to buy, tell us your name and we will subtract your purchases from your account. You will be asked to sign the signature pad each time you make a purchase. Just remember, it's up to you to budget your Canteen money for the length of your stay. Any remaining monies from the Canteen will be refunded to the credit card held by Campminder within one week of your departure from camp.
