Brent, Kara, Bruno & Cheryl Klaus
|
IGC was founded 37 years ago by administrators Bruno & Cheryl Klaus. Bruno’s involvement in gymnastics
spans over six decades as an All-American gymnast, judge, coach and camp director. Bruno also holds a
Master’s Degree in Health and Physical Education and was a professor at East Stroudsburg University for
over 30 years.
- USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame inductee as competitior, coach, and contributor to the sport of gymnastics
- Southern Illinois University Hall of Fame
- NCAA Champion on high bar and vaulting
- Member of the 1962 United States World Championship Squad
- Coach of the 1985, 1987, and 1988 USGF National Collegiate Champions
- Former member of the Board of Directors of USA Gymnastics
- American Turners 50 year member
- Coach of the 1983 and 1984 NCAA Division II Championship Teams
- NCAA Division II Coach of the Year in 1983, 1984 and 1985
- Pioneered the standards for safety pits
- Designed and developed the industry standard 6” x 6” foam pit block

Directors Bruno & Brent Klaus
|
Camp Director Brent Klaus begins the second generation at IGC and is a graduate of the Gene Ezersky Camp Safety College. He has been a member of the USA National Team, competed for Ohio State, and represented the US in the 1995 World University Games in Japan. Brent is the only person ever to score a perfect 10.0 on vault at USA Championships.
