At IGC, we take pride in having an outstanding gymnastics summer camp, while maintaining an extremely safe and fun environment for campers ages 7-17.

We always strive to make IGC the absolute best it can be, and with our exceptional staff members, all of this and more is made possible. At IGC, we hire and train staff members from not only all over the USA, but from all over the world.

Working at a summer camp is a very rewarding experience, and we are proud to welcome new staff members into the IGC family each summer.

There are many perks of working at a summer camp. As an IGC camp counselor, it gives you the opportunity to learn more about yourself. At camp, you are making unforgettable memories not only for the campers, but for yourself as well. You are able to build lifelong friendships and relationships with everyone you’ve met over the summer. Additionally, you get to explore new possibilities in an unfamiliar place, while meeting people from all walks of life.

As a camp counselor, you are outdoors very often, which allows you to get back into touch with nature and the beauty of camp. You are able to take a step back from everyday “normalcy,” and put your sole energy and time into creating real experiences and memories. There is not as much time to be on smart devices, which is also very refreshing in and of itself.

Of course, the most rewarding part of being a camp counselor is being a role model and mentor for the campers. To all of the kids, counselors are like superheroes. They are people the campers can look up to and confide in. Whether they are trying a new skill in the gym for the first time, or putting on a brave face to climb Scary Aerie, each day is a new opportunity for our staff to assist campers in reaching their dreams and goals.

Throughout the summer, counselors are making a positive impact on campers’ lives, which is something both the campers and counselors will remember forever.
